ANOMALOUS THREAT: DENTOIDS
Since 1990, the government of Mastica has been receiving an increasing number of reports on anomalous figures. They are often described as humanoid fugires with attractive appearances, but their defining feature is their abnormal teeth and inability to smile. The Department has designated them as "Dentoids" and classified these creatures into three Classes according to their characteristics.
Their motives are unknown. However, past incidents involving Dentoid violence have demonstrated that they pose an enormous risk to civilian safety. As such, their existence must be kept confidential.
Their origin is unknown.
Their weakness is unknown.
Class I - "Coy Smilers"
- The most underdeveloped Dentoids. Named "coy smilers" due to their tendency to turn away and avoid eye contact, as if due to embarrassment.
- Their teeth are often grotesque and malformed, having extra teeth, abnormally shaped teeth with multiple cusps, or even several teeth in the same alveoli.
- Autopsies performed on captured specimens have revealed that these creatures have a strangely developed insular cortex of the brain. This causes strong feelings of disgust whenever they see humans, often to the point of violence.
Class II - "Pan Am Dentoids"
- Compared to Class I Dentoids, their zygomatic major muscle is more developed, allowing them to curl their lips and form a "fake smile".
- One telltale sign is that their smile never reaches the eyes.
- Capable of basic speech. Shows increased aggression towards humans. Increased caution is advised when interacting.
Class III - "Duchenne Dentoids"
- The most developed class. It has only emerged recently, with reports dating back to 2015.
- Unlike other dentoids, it has the orbiclaris oculi muscle, which allows it to form lines under its eyes when smiling.
- Capable of mimicking genuine human emotions and psychological manipulation. Its intelligence is vastly superior. Extreme caution is advised when interacting.
