The following records one of the earliest official encounters with a Class Pan-Am specimen. The suspect was found standing in the home of Ms. ████ █████ (NAME REDACTED) on 12 September, 1995 at 5:30 pm. A witness had called the police after hearing several bloodcurdling screams from the house. However, when the police arrived, the suscept was strangely calm, as if he had been waiting for the police to arrest him. Upon inspection of the crime scene, the body of Ms. █████ was found with several injuries to the fibula. Oddly, her mouth had been slit open and showed partial edentulism. Several of her teeth had been extracted precisely, yet no surgical implement was found on site. The suspect was peacefully detained and taken in for questioning.

| CASE: |
This is Officer Calvin Case. This interrogation commenced on 12 September, 1995 at 6:50 pm. |
| CASE: |
(facing the suspect) We have detained you on suspicion that you were involved in the murder of ████ █████. Do you understand the charges brought against you? |
| SUSPECT |
... |
| CASE: |
(getting visibly angry) I repeat -- |
| Finally, the suspect spoke. He leaned forward as the fluorescent light cast upon his smile, baring a mouth of mangled teeth. He was a handsome looking man, estimated to be in his 20s, with piercing brown eyes, auburn red hair and a fair demeanour. There was a small mole on his cheek, a rather distinctive feature. But his teeth were a gruesome sight. Multiple teeth sprouted from the oral alveoli, jutting at different angles. The number of teeth in his mouth seemed to be changing constantly, sometimes too few, sometimes too many. |
|
| SUSPECT |
You don't have to repeat yourself, Officer. I could hear you just fine the first time. |
| CASE: |
(Slams fist on the table)Don't play dumb with me, kid. We know what you did to that poor lady. |
| ANGLE: |
(places VHS tape on table) It's all recorded on the security camera. Moreover, our witnesses recall that you entered Ms. █████'s house, and -- |
| CASE: |
What kind of psychotic killer would commit such a crime??? And even cutting out her teeth like that...absolutely disgusting! |
| SUSPECT: |
Ha...Haha...Hahaha...Ahahahaha... |
| |
Hearing the morbid details, the suspect suddenly began to laugh. It was horrifying. The laughter grew louder and louder, but the smile would never reach his eyes. It seemed...ingenuine. |
| SUSPECT: |
Oh...forgive me. I forgot that humans can be so sensitive sometimes... |
| SUSPECT: |
But to answer your question, I do not see myself as "psychotic". It was simply doing a deed, like a butcher might do to a slaughtered pig. Like cutting down livestock, or any worthless animal. |
| ANGLE: |
A worthless animal? So you think of Ms █████ as a lesser being then? |
| SUSPECT: |
No, no...I think of all of you as being worthless beings. What I aim to create is a world of pure beauty...one where only beautiful creatures like myself can exist. Our Father was right...all "ugly" beings must be purged. |
| CASE: |
Is that why you chose █████ as your victim then? To "purge" these ugly creatures? |
| SUSPECT: |
Oh no, it's the opposite, in fact. I envied her beautiful teeth. Those nicely shaped incisors...those sharp canines...her jaws which formed the perfect Barcelona line...it was love at first sight. |
| SUSPECT: |
Since you've asked plenty of questions, it's only fair that I get my turn. Here's a quiz for you two. Get it right and you'll earn a special prize! |
| SUSPECT: |
Ahem...what souvenir did I take from the lady's house? Was it:
|
| CASE: |
(with a pale face, trembling) It was her teeth, wasn't it? |
| SUSPECT: |
Bingooooooo! Here's your lucky prize, Officer! |
| |
The suspect tosses a small white piece of something onto the table, It was slightly yellowish, while the roots were covered in blood. It was unmistakable. |
| ANGLE: |
Is--Is that a human tooth? |
| SUSPECT: |
Yes...one of █████'s teeth, in fact. It was so beautiful I had to steal it for myself. Now...can you guess where the rest of her teeth are? |
| |
Officer Case exchanged a bewildered glance at me. We didn't want to think of the answer. |
| SUSPECT: |
If no one will answer...I guess I'll just reveal the answer! |
| |
The suspect suddenly leaned forward and opened his mouth. Among the crooked teeth were several white teeth, gleaming with blood. They seemed to be freshly implanted. |
| CASE: |
You implanted her teeth into your own mouth? You sick freak-- |
| SUSPECT: |
Oh calm down! I told you I took some souvenirs from her body, didn't I? It wasn't easy performing a dental implant on myself, you know. |
| SUSPECT: |
It's been fun talking to you two, but I'm afraid it's time for me to leave. |
| CASE: |
Huh? You're not going anywhere until I tell to. Have you forgotten that you are under arrest? |
| SUSPECT: |
Now, now, Officer. The question you should have been asking is: where is the murder weapon? |
| |
The suspect reached into his own wide-open mouth, and pulled out a thin scalpel. |
| CASE: |
(terrified) That - That's impossible! No human could have swallowed something like that! |
| SUSPECT: |
Oh, foolish Officer... WHAT MADE YOU THINK I WAS A HUMAN IN THE FIRST PLACE? |
| |
Officer Case's smile contorts into a fearful smile. |
| CASE: |
I don't understand...drat it, why am I smiling at a time like this? |
| SUSPECT: |
Isn't it wonderful? Your human body is releasing endorphins to lower your heart rate...your "mirror neurons" are tricking your brain into smiling when you see me smile...Even when you're faced with death, you can't stop smiling. |
